Biography

Chris' most recent venture was creating the role of Davy Harrison in a workshop for Sting's new musical The Last Ship in The Live Theatre, Newcastle. He also recently completed a run creating the role of Rags Ryan in brand new musical-Burlesque in The Jermyn Street Theatre, London.

With over 18 years experience in musical theatre, Chris is established as one of the most versatile performers in the business. Last year, he was seen in the London production of The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty's Theatre) on the 25th anniversary year and featured in their 25th celebration production in The Royal Albert Hall in October 2011. Prior to this he performed alongside David Essex in All the Fun of the Fair (Garrick Theatre).

Chris was part of the original London cast of Dirty Dancing (Aldwych Theatre) playing the role of Billy Kostecki. His interpretation of In The Still of the Night gained him huge acclaim and can be heard on the original London cast recording.

Other theatre credits include, Snake Preacher and The Man in Whistle Down the Wind (Palace Theatre and UK Tour), Big Macca/Britney/Khashoggi in We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre), The Witches of Eastwick (Original Cast, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Vince Fontaine/Teen Angel in Grease (UK Tour), Heathcliff (UK Tour), Pharoah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat with Phillip Schofield (UK Tour), Elwood Blues in The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers (UK and European Tour), Out of the Blue (Shaftesbury Theatre), understudied and played Chris in Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane).

 

Chris' career began in the tough environment of the UK's working mens' clubs, travelling throughout the country building a name on the cabaret circuit as one of the country's top young talents. He picked up valuable experience working alongside talent such as Jethro, Joe Pasquale, The Brotherhood of Man and Jim Bowen amongst others. He completed summer seasons at the UK's most famous holiday resorts such as Butlins and Pontins. He continues to perform in concert and cabaret throughout the UK and the rest of the world, with his band and production team. 

In concerts, Chris has played Enjolras in Les Miserables (BIC), Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (Porchestre Castle), The American in Chess (BIC) as well as singing in Queen Symphonia (Meryck Park) and Live and Let Die (Wilton House). He also hosted two succesful seasons of Christmas Crackers concerts for Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and presented Summer Showstoppers on the Isle of Wight. He appeared as Hojja in Jusuf Islam's Moonshadow as part of his Guess I'll Take My Time tour and toured the UK with Gary Wilmot in Showstoppers.

 

Chris is an award winning voice over artist winning a 2011 VOX award for his work with TalkSport Radio.

 

Recordings include, original cast recordings of Dirty Dancing, All the Fun of the Fair, Yusuf Islam's Moonshadow, The Witches of Eastwick and Cliff Richard's Heathcliff. In 2009, Chris released his debut album Finally!
